The True West Has No Fences

Watch the full-length cut of our TV spot, “True West,” airing on the Peacock stream of the Big Game above.

Real Talent With Real Stories

Our talent included cowboy Gerry Gesell, steer wrestler Ronnie Davis, Marfa’s very own, Ryan Sambol, whose music stands alone in the spot, and of course, it features the iconic voice of Terry Allen.

Not to mention:
Jessie Johnson (artist), Keith Malloy (professional surfer and cowboy), Cooper Malloy (young cowboy), Logan Lewis (hunting Guide), and Tana Vargas (artist).

One Chance and Three Seconds

With four cameras stationed just outside Marfa, TX on UTVs and one onboard a westbound Amtrak©, we only had one chance and three seconds to capture cowboy Gerry Gesell’s ride alongside the train cars. Somehow, we got it in one take.

Three people—an older man, a child, and another adult—talk inside a train car with booths and tables. A coffee cup and a box are on one table in the foreground.
A rustic outdoor café with mismatched chairs and tables sits under a green wooden roof. Sunlight streams through large windows, and desert landscape is visible outside.
