We offer a 12-month limited warranty on items that are deemed defective by our warranty team. If you're experiencing an issue outside of normal wear or tear, we encourage you to file a claim on our website. If it's determined to be defective and falls within the 12-month timeline, we'll provide you with a solution that best meets your needs.
Tecovas boots are designed to fit true to standard U.S. shoe sizes. The best sizing advice is to simply order what you’d normally order! When in doubt, check the individual guidance shown on each of our product pages & their corresponding Fit Guide highlighted below.

Ordering
Once your order is placed, you have a very small window to cancel it. The "cancel order" button is shown on our order confirmation page if the order is not too far along in the fulfillment process and you are within the cancellation window.
Our team works incredibly fast to fulfill orders as quickly as possible. That said, should you not be able to cancel your order in time, we proudly offer free returns and exchanges*, so you always have the option to return your order once you receive it (certain exclusions apply; see full Return Policy here).

Most orders will ship out 3-4 business days after the order has been placed, and our free shipping* (FedEx ground or USPS first class) reaches most of the country within 2-6 business days from the time shipped. If you need the item(s) sooner, you can upgrade to Next Business Day or 2nd Business Day at checkout!
Expedited shipping may not be available in all areas, and orders shipped via USPS (for P.O box deliveries) are unable to be expedited.
While we do our best to process expedited orders as quickly as possible, processing and shipping timelines can vary due to factors such as order volume, holidays, etc. Please note that the estimated time of delivery ar checkout is just an estimate and not a guaranteed delivery date.

Yes, our products are also sold through select authorized retailers in addition to our retail stores.
If you placed an order under an account with us, you can log in to view your order status, located in your account settings.
If you did not create an account, you will receive updates of your order status via email (e.g., when the items ship, tracking numbers, etc.), or you can always click the order number in your order confirmation email to see your order's current status.
You do not need an account to order from Tecovas, however, your Tecovas account can be used to access your order history and details. If you have already placed an order and would like to set up an account, you can do so here.

If you don’t have a Tecovas Store in your area, we do partner with quality Western retailers in select markets. All of our independent retail partners are carefully vetted and handpicked based on their dedication to customers, and of course, passion for Western.

We do not offer in-person pickup for any online Tecovas orders. We use a third-party fulfillment center in Dallas, Texas to warehouse and ship all of our products, and they’re very good at shipping out orders efficiently and accurately! You can also purchase directly at our retail locations - we recommend calling ahead if you know what you want to ensure it's in stock!
To create a Tecovas account, simply click on “Log in” in the upper right-hand corner. From there, you’ll be prompted to enter your email address. Once done, a code will be sent to your inbox. Use that code to log in to your account and you’re all set!
Shipping
At this time, we ship to all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia. We do intend on shipping internationally down the road, but we do not have any concrete plans set yet. That said, Join our email and text list to stay updated on our shipping policies!
We proudly offer free Ground shipping* on some orders over $100. Expedited shipping options are also available in select areas for an additional fee.

Afterpay
Installments by Afterpay is a service that allows you to make purchases now and pay for them in four payments made every 2 weeks without any interest.
At checkout, you can choose Installments by Afterpay as your payment method. First-time customers will need to register with Afterpay and provide payment details, and returning customers simply log in to make their purchase.
You will make your first payment at the time of purchase, with the remaining three payments deducted every two weeks from your chosen payment method.
If you choose to make additional payments before your scheduled pay dates, or you'd like to update the payment method between installments, you may do so through your Afterpay account.
Yes, a transaction value limit of $2,000 applies to purchases made with Tecovas using Installments by Afterpay.
Afterpay is not available on purchases of gift cards. If you are purchasing gift cards along with Afterpay-eligible products, you will need to place two separate orders. In addition, Afterpay cannot be used for orders under $30.
You can return your Afterpay purchase in-store or by mail for a refund. Please check that your return or exchange meets our Return Policy.
Afterpay will be notified of your return and will process the appropriate refunds. Please do not return your purchase to Afterpay. If you believe there is fault or concern with your Afterpay purchase payment, please contact Afterpay customer support at info@afterpay.com.

During the holidays, we’ve extended our return/exchange policy! Orders placed between November 1st through December 25th will have until January 31st to process a refund or exchange in-store or online.
Items must remain unworn, unwashed, and unused to be eligible for returns. For boots specifically, please feel free to try them out on a carpeted surface, just be sure not to scratch the leather soles while doing so!
Final Sale items are not eligible for returns or exchanges and all customized products are final sale.
To start a return or exchange, simply head to tecovas.com/returns and follow the prompts, then mail your package back to us! We’ll send you a notification as soon as your refund has been inspected and processed, or your requested exchange is on its way*.
Once Tecovas receives your returned product, Tecovas will inspect it and perform a quality check to ensure it meets the condition as stated in this Returns and Exchanges Policy. Following inspection, Tecovas will send you a notification as soon as your refund has been processed, or your requested exchange is on its way. If you are eligible for an exchange or refund, Tecovas will either provide you a refund back to your original form of payment or we will ship your exchange product, as applicable.
Returns and exchanges will need to be verified and processed by Tecovas’ distribution center team. Please allow at least 14 days from the date Tecovas receives your return to process your return or exchange, with additional time for shipping allotted for any exchanges. Processing timeframes may vary.

Product
Everything we make is designed in Austin, Texas by our team. Our heritage-made cowboy boots are handcrafted in León, Mexico by generational bootmakers in more than 200 steps. Our performance-minded footwear is made by hand in Vietnam where we can leverage state of the art technology into our timeless Western aesthetic.
All of our boots are handmade to the highest standards by trained specialists in traditional or performance-oriented boot construction — using premium materials.
Our boots are constructed using traditional western methods, including ¾ Goodyear welt construction, hand-hammered lemonwood pegs, hand-laid decorative cording, and hand-stitched quarters. Our sole is comprised of a 100% leather outsole, a corkbed filling that molds to your feet over time, a traditional leather midsole, an EVA strip for comfort, and bovine glove leather lining to top it off. The entire interior of the boot is lined in supple bovine leather lining, and we construct our shaft ‘inside out’ to hide the seams – so there is no uncomfortable seams inside any of our boots!
Our Vietnam-made boots are hand made by a skilled workforce specifically trained in performance-oriented rubber boot construction. Many of these boots feature hardworking composite safety toes, dual-density cushioned outsoles with our own in-house designed slip and oil-resistant Muckoff tread that sloughs off debris, and Total Energy command insoles that rebound with each step.
While we make every effort to ensure color consistency across all styles, no two authentic animal hides are exactly the same, and slight color variation can be expected from piece to piece. Textures, grain, and patterns can vary from one hide to the next as well, particularly among exotic leathers. Safe to say, every pair is unique.
We do not offer custom boots at this time, however, you can stop by your local Tecovas store for a complimentary boot branding, burning, and stamping to add a little touch to your pair!
For our men’s line, we currently offer seven different profile options:
Roper - 10" shaft, round toe, and 1 ⅛" roper heel (no pitch)
Cowboy - 12" shaft, round toe, and 1 ½" angled cowboy heel
Zip Boot - 8" zippered shaft, round toe, and 1 ¼" angled Hybrid heel
Square Toe - 12" shaft, square toe, and 1 ¼" angled Hybrid heel
Chelsea - 6" shaft, round toe, and 1 ¼" angled Hybrid heel
Wedge - 10" shaft, round toe, and 1" Vibram wedge heel
Horseman - 13 ½" shaft, round toe, and 2" pitched riding heel
For our women’s line, we currently offer five different profile options:
Cowgirl - 12" shaft, round toe, and 1 ¾" heel
Tall Cowgirl - 14" shaft, snip toe, and 2" heel
Western Bootie - 6" shaft, round toe, and 1 ¾" heel
Zip Bootie - 6" shaft height, snip toe, and 2 ½” heel
Chelsea - 6" shaft height, snip toe, and 1 ¾" heel
Most of our heritage-made boots feature a 100% leather outsole and rubber heel caps on the stacked leather heels for grip.
We also offer dual-density cushioned rubber outsoles for long days and hard work, and butyl-treated leather soles for the ranch.
With the exception of our Men’s Ranch boots, our insoles are not designed or intended to be removed.
If you'd like to add an insert, instead of removing the original insoles, we would suggest sizing up a half size to accommodate the extra room.

Per California Penal Code Section 653, "it is illegal to sell python and lizard products in California." As a result, we are unable to ship any of our lizard and python boots or accessories to addresses within the state of California.
As of 2023, Alligator, Caiman, Nile Crocodile, and Saltwater Crocodile can be sold legally in California and to California residents under international treaty and US federal law.
Size & Fit Guidance
Tecovas boots are designed to fit true to standard U.S. shoe sizes. The best sizing advice is to simply order what you’d normally order!
We utilize the Brannock Device to measure standard our shoe sizes. Pleas refer to This Size Conversion Chart to help find your size!
If you’re in between two half sizes, we generally recommend ordering the smaller size of the two.
If you have a wider-than-average foot or a high instep, we’d recommend going with the larger size.
When you’re first putting them on (which can sometimes take a bit of effort), you should feel a nice ‘thump’ when your heel slides into place. Once on, your toes should be comfortable and the boot should feel snug around the top and sides of your foot. When walking around, you want to experience some heel lift, but it shouldn’t feel like your heel is lifting completely out of the heel cup.

Our boots are not specifically designed for higher insteps, but we'd recommend taking a peak at our Zipper styles or ordering a larger width (Mens EE, Womens C).
For men's boots, we offer D-average width and EE-wide width. For women’s boots, we offer B-average width and select styles in C-wide width.
While we only currently offer standard width (Mens D, Womens B) and wide (Mens EE, Womens C), but we'd recommend ordering down a half size for each letter width difference.
If you have bunions and are looking to get a pair of Tecovas, we'd recommend ordering your typical size and purchasing Goatskin, Cowhide, or Ostrich for maximum comfort.
Our insoles are not designed or intended to be removed and are attached to the midsole, but many customers have used inserts successfully with our boots.
If you'd like to add an insert, we would suggest sizing up a half size to accommodate the extra room.
