Multi-platinum artist, Thomas Rhett, family man, all-around good guy, and recent collaborator on our Thomas Rhett x Tecovas Collection shares how his family gets into the spirit — early. Then, take a deep dive into the personal inspo behind the line with his candid interview here.

Q: What is a tradition that defines the holidays for you?

A: “Christmas is Lauren’s favorite holiday and our house literally flips to Christmas the day after Halloween (sometimes before). It’s been a tradition ever since we got married for us to go pick out a tree together and then decorate it together. It’s something we look forward to every year, especially now with the kids.”

Q: What is on your holiday wishlist? Any Tecovas items you are hoping to receive or gift?

A: “To Receive: Probably a new pair of The Dillon in Pecan. I got a bit excited and threw mine into the crowd in Virginia Beach this year or the Cooper. To Give: Anything from the Thomas Rhett x Tecovas line, obviously.”

Q: What is a tradition that defines the holidays for you?

A: “Christmas morning is less about opening gifts and more about savoring delicious food. My brother and I enjoy crafting a cheese platter and we always order the seafood platter from TJs. My dad also always loved a glass of Port so we drink a glass in the morning. It's a bit amusing to toast so early, but the festive spirit makes it all the more enjoyable.”

Every year, I get so excited about collaborating with our skilled seamstresses to create personalized pajamas for everyone. In the most recent year, I used the same fabric as our women's dresses for my brother and husband. We had a pre-Christmas beach trip, and I had palm trees hand-embroidered onto their shirts, adding a special touch.

Q: What is on your holiday wishlist? Any Tecovas items you are hoping to receive or gift?

A: “On My Wishlist it’s The Annie in Sequoia, The Women’s Vintage Weight Sawtooth Pearl Snap in Grey/Burgundy and the Women’s Suede Fringe Blazer. For my Husband I’d like to gift him The Cartwright in Scotch Goat, A Leather Care Kit and The Weekender Bag. And lastly, to Gift to my Brother it would be The Doc in Midnight, The Bartlett Slim Briefcase and The Ranchman in Silverbelly.”

Q: What is a tradition that defines the holidays for you?

A: “Every year my brother and sisters and significant others drive 2 hours South to my parents ranch in Groesbeck, TX. With a population of just over 3,500 this sleepy town provides the comfort you’d expect when you think of small Texas towns and it's the perfect place to escape during the holiday season. ”

“Music during the holidays is a big thing for us. Unless the Cowboys are on TV a record will be spinning in the background. My dad has a great record collection and a great musician himself and we've always grown up with an eclectic taste. Their home is lined with instruments and speakers so whether we are playing music or listening to it we’ve always got a tune moving through the house”

Q: What is on your holiday wishlist? Any Tecovas items you are hoping to receive or gift?

A: “If there was one thing I could put on my wishlist from Tecovas it would be The Nolan cowboy boots in black. And if there was one thing that I could gift, it would be The Abby cowgirl boots in midnight. (Those are on my fiancé’s wish list)”
