The Must-Have Cowboy Boot
Our original cowboy boot is timelessly styled to look as good in 50 years as it does today. Its ageless nature starts with a classic round toe and 1 ½” stacked angled heel, and builds upon it with a vamp adorned with signature Tecovas toe stitching. A 12” shaft with hand-laid cording and reinforced pull straps complete its iconic western flair. You’re spoiled for choice: whether that be ultra-soft cowhide, rugged cowhide, or quick-to-patina goat. You have a choice of soles, too — if wet weather wearability and grip are priorities, Alder/White and Walnut check all the boxes with a Vibram Westerner outsole. Suited up for an outdoor wedding, or decked out in denim and setting the dance floor ablaze at a honky tonk — The Cartwright was made for it.
- 1 ½” angled stacked heel

- Vibram Westerner outsole
- 3/4 Goodyear welt construction

*Please Note: No two authentic animal hides are exactly the same. Color, texture, grain, and pattern variation can be expected from piece to piece.*

Cowhide
A longstanding staple of bootmaking for good reason, cowhide leather combines proven durability with supple comfort. Incredibly versatile, it’s a timeless option for dress boots and nights out, and equally rugged and ready for hard work when oiled and treated. Whichever you choose, this all-rounder does it all effortlessly.
Store Your Boots
- Store your boots in a dry and dark place.
- Alternate boot-wearing days to let boots properly dry out.
- Ideally, store with tissue, newspaper, or a cedar shoe tree that does not stretch the leather.
These methods above will help minimize moisture and extend the life of your boots.
How To Clean
- Brush dirt off after every wear with a horsehair brush; use a damp cloth if necessary.
Condition
- While boots are still damp, lightly apply conditioner over the entire boot, ideally with fingers, but you can use a brush or cloth.
- Let conditioner dry and then buff with a horsehair brush.
- Condition every 1 to 2 months, clean and shine to preference.
For conditioner, we suggest our Basics Care Kit or the Bickmore’s Bick 4 conditioner.
Polish & Shine
- Polishing will leave the boots with a glossy finish. We suggest avoiding colored polishes since they can alter the color of your boots.
- After your boots have dried, apply a small amount of wax-based polish to all the areas you wish to shine.
- Let the polish dry and then brush off the boot with a soft cloth.
- Buff with a horsehair brush to the desired level of shine.
For polish, we suggest the included polish in our Basics Care Kit.
- Lincoln wax polish (neutral) and Allen Edmonds spray shine are also great options.
